I know many players who can write an A+ paper on how to play properly. They get all the answers correct, however, they fail to implement these correct answers and lack the patience to practice correctly in order to improve their playing. Sadly, they then falsely conclude that they lack a talent for music. This is nonsense! Have a patient, positive outlook and believe in yourself.
Having talent and the desire to be good at something is a great start. Finding the patience to become proficient in something is the true lesson. Be true to yourself and give it your all! In this way, you will make real progress. Integrating an honest self-test feedback with your learning process, develops positive and mature learning skills.
The discipline of learning a string instrument increases real-life maturity skills. Increasing patience goes hand-in-hand with growing more mature and experienced. Do not get discouraged when you sound like a beginner. The idea is really very simple: the fact is that when you are first starting out, you are technically a beginner. You will create sounds that may sound as though they are in serious need of help – and they probably are – but these beginner sounds will go away as you gain more experience.
Almost everyone has played or seen video games. When first playing a new game, there often is a tutorial or practice game. This is where you learn the skills that you need and recognize the goals to be accomplished in order to progress and achieve more advanced game levels. During game play, you often need to learn how to perform a special jump or to learn which types of items to discover or collect, in order to be able to progress to more advanced and challenging levels.
Many games have milestones at which you need to earn a sufficient number of experience points so you’re able to acquire a bonus, which in turn, allows you to choose additional options that increase your skill sets. These milestone-junctures often become available only after sufficient successful progress in the game has transpired.
Once you become more proficient in game skills, you may earn bonus points or obtain specific rewards. These rewards are commonly called special achievements. With more practice, varied skills are developed throughout the game. Some levels can be achieved only when sufficient progress takes place during game play. Time spent practicing the honing of your game skills during game play, increases your abilities. These abilities are often called experience points.
Options that are chosen after successfully accumulating the required number of experience points are called upgrades and power-ups. Game programmers use the term unlock to categorize distinct stages of learning and development of various attributes. Once earned, unlocked stages are called special achievements.
Special achievements accelerate your progress in the game resulting in advancement to higher, more intricate levels. These earned special achievements serve to maintain your interest, which gives you the desire to find more tools in order to advance further in the game and accomplish victory.
A skilled musician is often called an accomplished player. By regarding advancement in string playing as you do skill levels in a game, you will gain the experience points needed to become an accomplished player. Practicing the use of repeated, focused attempts with your best and honest self-test system in place, will award you “experience points” at an accelerated pace. Power-ups in a game are earned when playing well.
