CELLO POSITION 5

UPPER RIM CONTACT WITH YOUR STERNUM
The cello’s shoulders are sometimes called its Upper Rim.
The Upper Rim of the cello rests on your sternum, also called your breast bone. The cello’s shoulders make contact below your shoulder-horizon at the middle of your chest.
The cello tilts towards you and leans on you when it is in playing position. Always sit with your roots set in the Leverage V Position.
The oval region above represents the Cello’s Upper Rim Contact Location with You.
