Pizzicato
The first step in playing Pizzicato is to locate the edge of the fingerboard.
Violin and Viola players place the tip of the right thumb against the edge of the fingerboard, near the highest-pitched string.
Then, firmly place the tip of your right thumb against the edge of the fingerboard.
This will serve as an anchor for all your Pizzicato motions.
Cello and Bass players place the tip of the right thumb against the edge of the fingerboard, near the lowest-pitched string.
