MORE ABOUT TIME SIGNATURES
Let’s learn about the Bottom Number.
THE BOTTOM NUMBER “4” MEANS THAT QUARTER NOTES ARE THE BEAT.
Default 5
A time signature’s top number can be any number of beats.
However, the possibilities for the bottom number are defined by specific values of notes.
The bottom number always equals the type of the note that is the beat. It is possible for other notes to be the beat, but they appear very infrequently.
