Spiccato Brush Strokes
Smoother spiccato bowing motions are called Brush Strokes.

This rounded brushing motion approach to the string, increases the string’s ring. The result is Legato-Spiccato!

The arrows in ARC’s picture above, show the bow’s arc-shaped approach to the string needed to perform continuous Brush Strokes.

Begin on the string and direct the bow to bounce from note to note by drawing Arc-shaped spiccato motions.
