BOWING WORLDS26

CENTER-FINGER TASK DETAIL
The center-finger’s primary task is to balance the bow-hand.
While performing bowing motions, the center- finger adjusts the tilt in the bow-hand, serving to balance your bowing motions.
The Center-Finger and Thumb join forces, forming a team connection to the bow.
Working together, they combine tasks and enable your grasp of the bow. The thumb curves towards the stick from under the bow, and the center-finger lands above the stick.

The thumb’s spring-action enhances the center-finger’s balance task, which, in turn, prepares the bow-hand to receive and then to transfer arm-weight into bowing motions. This combined-task relationship enables the transfer of this weight into well-leveraged motions.

A rounded tunnel-shape is formed within the bow-hand, as the thumb and center-finger combine tasks when grasping the bow properly.

Your CENTER-FINGER and THUMB BALANCE YOUR BOW-HAND.
