BOWING EXERCISE # 4
The Art of the Bow-Change
Step One
Bring your instrument to leveraged playing-position.
You are about to paint with sound.
Step Two
Locate the Lower Bow-Segment and D-String Middle Lane.
Step Three
Swing your Shoulder Arc open to the D-String level.
Step Four
Place the lower bow-segment on the D String silently at the Middle Bowing Lane.
Your Bow-Arm Box forms a triangle shape.
Locate the Upper Bow-Segment.
For this exercise, this is the Target-Area of Down-Bow motions.
When the bow travels to the upper bow-segment,
a triangle shape is formed to the right of the Bow-Arm Box.
