Please allow me to make certain everyone understands all that you are teaching about Bow-Speed Proportions.

It is important to know why Bow-Speed mastery is crucial to successful string playing.  Every sound produced has a long way to travel. You all remember learning about Amplitude when learning about dynamics.
Great to see you again, Cal!
Always my pleasure, V!
Bow-Speed Proportions
String vibration must remain constant in order to sustain the tone for the proper length of time. As you learned earlier, every note has a beginning, middle and end. The middle of the note is the duration and the amount of time that you need to keep the string vibrating freely.

Focus on the last part of the sentence above, “String Vibrating Freely.” The goal of successful string instrument sound production is to create freely ringing qualities from your instrument.  Let the strings ring!
