D MAJOR 57

Preparing for Violin Third Position Pitches
Default 2
You may wish to affix instrument-tapes for the pitches B, C# and D on the E-String.
Repeat the process of using a tuner to find the exact pitch locations and apply the tapes.
The circle area on the fingerboard, points to the 3 new tapes for B, C# and D
Once you learn violin 3rd position pitches on the E-String, you will be able to perform a higher D Major scale.
As a hummingbird, I am able to fly to different vantage points.
From time to time, I will guide you by offering aerial perspectives to highlight hand positions.
Pay close attention, as third position E-String notes B, C# and D are created on the violin. These shifting principles apply to all string instruments and prepare you to shift properly.
It’s time to learn third position pitches and technique principles.
