DYNAMIC CHANGE COMBINATIONS
By now, you probably noticed crescendo and decrescendo, (dynamic change symbols), around my name <DYNA>.
When a composer wishes for a gradual increase in dynamic volume, which then is followed by an equal decrease back to the original dynamic range, this combination is nick-named the hair-pin.
